I was diagnosed with mild type-2 diabetes in the winter of 2012. Thank God, it was found in an early stage. That is when my fitness journey truly started. Since diabetes is part of my family, I had gotten motivated to get into shape. I normally do my working out in the mornings before starting my day. Sundays are the only day I do not workout. Although, going to church exercises my spirit. lol. I am still learning and tweaking my routines and diet as I learn more in my fitness journey. As of this about me update (11-20-17), I weight 238.8, and am at a size 38 shorts, 40 jeans. I still have about 50lbs to lose to get to where I want to go.
It is kind of encouraging to see the scale go down. Also it is encouraging to see my pant size go down too. Now, people are beginning to take notice that I am losing weight. My doctor said, because of my progress and A1C numbers (which was 5.5 as of July 2017), I should try and encourage others with my progress. That is what I hope to do.
