My friend had introduced me to the school gym. As i wanted to socialise, i went along with the goal in mind to just chat. As i stepped foot, the first thing i noticed was the clanging of iron and the lack of chit chat. This had intimidated me and my aim to converse was lost. As i lumbered around going from machine to machine, avoiding the free weights area, i had the compulsion to actually try this ago. My friend recommended excersises to me and i followed them. Instantly i fell in love with going to the gym, no-one judged you, the environment and it was a step to achieving my goal to fix my unhealthy lifestyle. Since this day , i went to the gym twice a week, and lately since i have mastered the basics, i have upped to 5 days. I have also noted that i enjoy and participate more in school sports despite my lacking skills and fundamentals where i otherwise, would have walked around while others played.
I love working out as it is a lifestyle that differed from my previous. I enjoyed going out of my comfort zone, where i would stay at home and play games, to going out to the gym with a goal in mind to change. I have limited my online time and rather, research on ways to improve. At the gym, i am able to forget my weaknesses and rather, improve them.
I love working out as it is a chance for me to improve.
