I used to play football in high school , and was decently strong but in great shape, i never took it seriously, until i got fat, and graduated college. Now i am back, still fat, but making progress. I like lifting weights, it relieves stress for me, and i enjoy watching the weights go up, perfecting my form. I believe that while somethings i might have been stronger in high school, my form was absolute garbage. Now i feel the workouts correctly, and enjoy knowing that i am getting better.
I love that it helps me out, releases stress, and makes me do things i could not before. I used to skip squats in high school after i fractured my leg, i stopped going to physical therapy and never got the full flexibility/ function in my legs, for years i skipped squats, and now slowly i am able to do something i have feared for a long time. I am not strong but i am working on getting better. My current weight is 280 (started at 320), height is 6'0, bench is 260, squat 280, deadlift 285, overhead press is 135.
