I started in 2009 incorporating strength training with cardio. I've always enjoyed some form of cardio, but it wasn't until I started doing Tony Horton's P90X did I truly develop a love for weight training. In the beginning the routines would always overtask me to the point that I would quit for 2 months at a time and then regroup and try again. I'm a Beachbody fanatic, and have several of their DVDs amongst other DVD programs. I enjoy working out at home and go the gym every now and then and have been a member of gym off and on for many years, but my comfort zone is an at home gym.
I had several life challenging things to happen over the past four years, but I've not allowed them to completely destroy me. So even though I still haven't reached my goal weight all these years, I haven't given up and have a clearer understanding what it takes to get the job done and I'm staying committed until it's done!
I love bodybuilding/working out for the endorphin rush and the body transformation. I also like the strength that you gain from bodybuilding and the posture enhancement. I know what type of moody, angry, sad life I had without eating clean and exercise, and that's not a place I want to continue to dwell. I know that clean eating and exercise will help me build a more satisfying and happier life.
