I was 6 feet tall and 137 pounds and 22 years old. I was about to start a career in business and felt like the same kid that I was in high school (actually I was the same weight as when I was in high school). I just wanted to fill out my clothes and be strong and confident.
I went online (remember no YouTube in 2003) and based on everything I read, was convinced I was a "hardgainer". Long story short I got really fat. At my peak I was 218 pounds!
I ended up figuring it out and reaching my initial goal of 170 and 7% body fat and then later 183 and 5.8% body fat year round until I injured my shoulder in 2018.
I just returned to the gym after 2 years away (shoulder surgery in August 2019) and have lost 28 pounds of my muscle (I'm now 152).
So now I'm basically starting over but I'm 40!
Ready to rebuild it all though!
I'm tracking my progress on my YouTube channel and my blog:
