I became fed up with my lifestyle of video games and junk food in high school and decided to drop some weight. Initially I started following a Type 2 Diabetes diet plan and I was playing DDR for an hour a day. I dropped about 30 pounds in one month and felt great about myself. This was all in my Junior year of high school. During my senior year in high school I was introduced to the partying lifestyle and before I knew it I had gained back 60 pounds. I was fatter and weaker than ever weighing in at 265 pounds at jus 5'10" and not an ounce of muscle on me. After graduating I saw all of my graduation pictures and was so upset with how I looked. I started talking to a friend of mine who was an avid gym goer and asked him for advice. The next day I went in with him to the gym for my first real workout and ever since I have been hooked. I am now 5'11" and 230 pounds after dropping about 60 pounds of fat and packing on about 30 of muscle. I look and feel better than ever but I feel like I will never be sufficed and I have such a long way to go until I reach my goals but I am more and more motivated every day!
I love exercising because it makes me look better and feel better about myself than any other activity I have ever indulged myself in. It gives me so much motivation and energy in all aspects of life ranging from work to relationships to even just being physically active in my free time. Lifting gives me such a spiritual high. When I leave the gym I feel as though nothing is wrong in the world and even if something was it would be easily fixed. I don't plan on ever quitting my new lifestyle and I now I know that only the sky is the limit!
