My mom and dad started working out when I was entering my mid teenage years and at the time I never really thought much of it I would go out every once in a while and maybe do a little weight lifting but nothing really and then my junior year in high school I decided to compete in a pull up competition and got first place doing 22pull ups and this was without ever working out and the feeling and excitement I got from winning was incredible. I remember the day like it was just yesterday when they called me up and put the first place medal around my neck in front of everyone at school in the gym. From that day forward I started working out hard and lifting hard but because my nutrition was never on check I didn't make much progress until I took the time and did my research and then decided that if this is what I was going to do it had to be done right so although I did start at about age 17 I wouldn't even say I was actually full dedicated until I turned 18 and 1/2 Because the truth is I had no idea what I was doing before and like everyone we all had to start somewhere it took me almost 2 years to get dedicated and do my research but it's all worth it now because now I know what I'm doing and paying close attention to nutrition and rest.
