Started in the gym to stay out of trouble. Being involved in the wrong group in a bad area, I decided to join a gym to get away from things. I joined a gym weighing 70kg. I went most nights to the gym, and trained like a complete novice (as you do), over time I started to learn how things work in the gym, and in the kitchen. Basically I am where I am today and if i didn't take up the gym I wouldn't have got the chance to emigrate to Australia to work in the sport supplement industry. I am very grateful for the opportunities I have been given.
It's a personal motivation I have to beat my previous workouts. After having a bad workout, you feel disappointed but instead of dwelling on that, as a lifter, you make sure your next (similar) workout is better. I like pushing myself and motivating myself. Setting personal challenges and aiming to beat them.
