I have a unique and inspiring journey to where I am today. In high school I was a professional Halo 2 player, I went to many tournaments throughout the US... Because of this I didn't have many friends in high school and my early years of college. I also have a stuttering problem that has existed since I was 2. This gave me extreme grief through my childhood years as young people didn't understand and thought less of me. Lastly, coupled with video games and stuttering I also had severe acne throughout my highschool and early college life. The acne was probably the biggest set back, I almost quit college b/c I was so embarrassed to go to class. I just wanted to hide in my room but I knew it would eventually get better. I can remember skipping class because I hated the way people would look at me and instead would sit in my room and play video games. After all this I finally decided one day to change, I wanted to be someone in life. This meant I wasn't going to care about what people thought about me. This was the turning point in my life. I went to bodybuilding.com and watched countless videos, read articles, collected exercise programs. I had no idea how to workout but I was determined to be someone in life and at that time I knew if I could be organized and dedicated to one thing then whatever I did in life would eventually be organized and dedicated. After I collected all of my research I went to the grocery store and bought all my meals, kept logs of all my meals, and bought all the supplements I needed.
That one day has changed my life forever. I now have a awesome job at one of the nicest gyms in Houston as a personal trainer. I've gained 50lbs of lean mass, my confidence has skyrocketed, and I'm the most goal oriented person I know. Going from a unmotivated, unsociable person to the opposite was a great feat and I'm proud to have gone through it and be where I am today.
It's the only thing in my life that I can completely owe myself to my success. I want to inspire people to be healthy and look great! I made this my profession and hopefully more people will look at my story and be inspired be the best they can be in the fitness industry. I'd like to be able to give back to the community that helped me in the beginning. I used to look up to a lot of people in the fitness industry and now lots of people look up to me and it's a great feeling to be able to help others where you once were.
I have a BS in Biology and a minor in Geology. I decided not to use my degree as my career path b/c recently my passion has changed from being interested in astrobiology to fitness. I have devoted myself to helping people in my career as well as working out in general.
