after i retired i gained too much weight so i decided to join a gym and try to get in better shape since i have a diabetes i have been trying to lower my body fat , gain some muscle to better help with controlling my blood sugars.it has also helped lower my blood pressure .
i like trying different types of exercise and i enjoy setting different goals for myself all in mind since i am diabetic its agreat way to try and improve my health i also like tracking all of my results and use a polar hear rate monitor to track my calorie burn and to kewep track of my heart rate so i don't put myself in any bad zone for my heart rate i can also see how intense my effort is when i am lifting and can easily track myself on any of the cardio machines i think it is important to try and work out smart i cant understand why so many people grind away on a treadmill at no incline when they can literally triple their calorie burn by increasing the angle on the treadmills david c overgaard
