Healthy living and fitness have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I graduated from high school weighing a measly 145 lbs standing 63. I was very insecure about my body and the cruel high school world didnt help my self esteem any. I discovered the gym around the age of 22 and have been lifting weights ever since. Over a five year period I was able to gain close to 60 lbs while keeping my body fat never greater than 12% (naturally!). Bodybuilding never really crossed my mind until recently. I entered my first bodybuilding show September 2010 and placed 1st in the novice class. I have since competed in 5 shows over the last year placing 1st in two of them. I still have aspirations of earning a pro card upon winning an overall. I believe that any goal can be achieved with the right drive and ability to accept hardships along the way. I dont believe in the word cant! Most people that tell you that you cant do something are actually afraid to attempt it themselves. Take negative energy and turn it into positive motivation. The possibilities are endless!
Getting up and going to the gym everyday gives me a certain sense of satisfaction. I feel that the sense of satisfaction only grows with time, you then reach a point when your body expects or requires that daily activity.
