I was never really athletic or into sports growing up. As the oldest of six kids, it was tough with such an active, competitive family. I was very content to playing video games, drawing and reading comic books. By the end of college, however, it sunk in that I couldnt avoid exercising altogether. It took a lot of courage, but I finally started making an effort into going in to the gym. What started out as an inconvenient hour 2-3 times a week turned into an exciting 2 hour session 5 times a week.
Why I Love it
It gives me focus, keeps me healthy and relieves stress. Some turn to junk food or alcohol, but I prefer to be addicted to the iron. The best part is the sense of personal accomplishment and knowing that nobody in the gym is there to judge you. We are all going there for the same reason!
