I have always been 'soft'. I joined my first gym when I was 21 years old, and went faithfully for about a year. Then work and social life took over, so discipline went up on the shelf.
My husband and I joined a gym about 6 years ago, and I would go in once in a while.
Then I found PhatCamp. Jen Hendershott holds fitness retreats and weekend camps all over the U.S. This is more than a boot camp. She has motivational sessions, discussions about nutrition, supplements, just cut up and have fun every day too.
When I came back from my first camp, I was a changed person. I realized I had the potential to really push myself ... and I've been pushing ever since.
I've met some wonderful people, all ages and fitness levels. Everyone is accepting and encouraging. I've even got myself convinced that I'll enter an amateur competition one day!
Each week, I see how much more I can do than the week before. My enegy level is up, my attitude is positive, and I look forward to it every day.
