For me it started one morning while showering, when I realized I was having difficulties washing my lower legs and feet. Upon further examination, I saw that fat around my stomach was getting in the way. That was February, 2010. I had always been active throughout my child hood, playing 2-3 sports each year of high school, and was active in college. But, after graduating, my activity decreased, as well as my metabolism. That morning in the shower was my wake up call.
Unfortunately it would take me another two years to get serious and hammer down a solid workout routine, and then stick with it. But now I think I've got the right tools and the right motivation to make it stick.
I love seeing results in the mirror, seeing my body slowly change. Ending a workout with sweat dripping off your forehead is a great feeling, knowing you just left it all in the gym. I used to go to bed with a sore back every night; now I don't feel a thing. I sleep great, wake up ready to take on the day. And I'm excited to see what else I can accomplish by sticking with this plan and motivation!
