I have lifted on and off since I was a freshman in High School (2004). I lifted weights mainly for football during high school, but got into body building for about a year after my last high school football game (Nov 2006). During the month of May 2007 I was in the best shape of my life. I was around 200 lbs of lean muscle and quick on my feet. Life was good, actually life was great!
Going into my first year of college I was in excellent shape. However, it wasn't long before I found myself living up the college life more than lifting. The negative changes to my lifestyle didn't take to long to have a drastic affect on my body. Within one year (around Sept. 2008) I looked completely different. I was around 215 lbs, still looked good with cloths on though :P, but I was slipping away into the picture that is my current before pic.
It's been one hell of a journey so far. My knowledge of weight training has increased exponentially and I crave to learn and understand more about it. I can honestly say that making time for the gym has been worth every single second that I've spent in the gym, preparing meals, and reading articles. It's become a part of my lifestyle that seems to fit me and it makes me feel good. There isn't much more someone can really ask for than that.
