I was active growing up but everything was a hobby .. I didn't think of 'working out'. In my 20s I started to put on some weight from bad habits and for awhile saw working out as a chore. It wasn't until around 2011 that I started learning more about health & fitness and realised I needed to make some changes. Now, I try new things. I love getting outside more than anything and lifting is awesome (leg day is my favourite!) . though.. my ultimate goal is to do a pull up.. some day!
I work out for confidence, happiness, health. Training is my therapy, my stress relief. It is incredible how much stronger I feel mentally by starting my day with a training session. I train to prove that anything is possible with consistent, hard work. I train not to be perfect, but to be better. I train for those moments when I realise my body couldn't do what it just did the week before. I work out to have a strong body and mind. I work out because I love my body and myself. I workout for the people I love, to be a better version of myself and inspire them to do the same.
