After struggling with disordered eating patterns and body dysmorphia for about a year, I found Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer on Bodybuilding.com. I was completely clueless when it came to lifting weights, but by following Jamie's program I learned about the sport and more importantly more about my body. I decided to start competing to focus completely on fitness after my job in nightlife wreaked havoc on my mind and body. My first show prep began in March and I stepped on stage for the first time on June 21st, 2014. After only placing Top 10, I knew I had more in me and competed again shortly after on July 12th taking home 2 trophies, a 2nd place title, a National Level Qualification, and a new found passion for the sport.
Fitness saved my life and is the reason I am on this amazing journey.
Bodybuilding/working out is more than just about looking good and having abs. It's truly about how we FEEL. Our bodies are made to be in motion and if treated properly, can do so much for our health and our mental well-being. The energy, happiness and positivity that stems from a fitness lifestyle is unmatched by anything else.
