I've been into combat sports since I was a kid. I started lifting in 2003 due to a surprising weight gain. I was very skinny as a kid, reaching a height of 6' tall and weighing a whopping 147 lbs, all while eating tons of food. When my wife became pregnant with our first child I was forced to eat even more food than normal, and finally one day I was pleasantly surprised to see a significant weight gain... however it wasn't the right kind of weight. So, I started hittin' the gym hard, and I built myself up to 180 lbs with a lot of muscle.
Since then I've done a lot of work in MMA and Boxing. That also motivates me to train. This last 2 years has been a horrible layoff, a major waste of 2 years. Now is the time to get back to it. 9/21/2014.
12/17/2016 - Holy F*@k! It's been a while! I've been in and out of the gym for the last couple years, doing a little bit of bodybuilding, doing a little bit HIIT training. Lately I've been wanting to really set a schedule and get consistent about it because I really want to transform. So I'm going to join the latest transformation challenge and do some work!
In this world of sedentary lifestyles, we need to be fit in order to really enjoy our lives to their full potential. Working out makes me feel amazing, move well, and look good. What other reasons do you need?
