My name is Anthony Chitko. But alot of my friends call me 'Tony' or my classic Roman Latin name 'Antonius'. I'm also diagnosed with a learning disability known as Asperger's Syndrome, To understand of how I got started and why I needed to be a part of the fitness world, this is my story that I'm willing to share. I first got started about 5 years ago when I was a senior in high school. I wasn't an athlete back then. At first, I didn't know what to do back then when I was in the high school gym; I didn't understand the reps, sets, or weights.I also didn't have the discipline, motivation, or the commitment to act. I had endured some very hard times during my high schools years. I lost my only grandparent in 2009; my grandmother, I then went through a phase of depression and that changed everything of me after her death. So i pretty much took it seriously. Then after graduation as a senior I didn't do much in the summer but I did alot of swimming in the pool at the aquatic center. When 2011 was coming towards the end, I knew I needed to change my habits and my body. So in early January of 2012, I signed up on Bodybuilding.com and started my fitness training.
During that time, I needed to watch out for foods that had bad ingredients like HFCS(High Fructose Corn Syrup) and stick to good foods like protein, fruits, vegetables, and good diary products. I also started using cheap whey protein too but It was only from Wal-Mart. When It was time to start using good why protein, I went to GNC(General Nutrition Center) and became a member so that I can save alot when I purchase my training nutrition. I also started using supplements too, but what I've read and heard from personal trainers and fitness experts that supplements are not the answer. They are there to help and give support to your body while training. It's not like I take this supplement and workout today and by tomorrow I'll have and fit and strong body. I knew that it doesn't happen. The only I intended to reach and accomplish is to destroy my stubborn belly fat. I started to do cardio workouts too from watching fitness videos on YouTube and actually following the routine and then sometime later I didn't need to watch the videos anymore, I can remember the routines. Then after a few weeks, I started to see the results. But I still needed to burn the fat. When summer came, I started using the high school gym because it had all the equipment I needed to do this one program, and especially it was hot in the summer so I can enjoy the outdoor activities like swimming, biking, and running. I also do a lot of mixed martial arts including keeping up with my take won do, krav maga, and a little bit of muay thai kickboxing techniques.
I really love working out and do bodybuilding exercises because it's the only way that I can change and live in a style that be a part of my entire life. I'm still a student who wants to go into the health/fitness industry but also I want to become an actor to express of how I feel and act as different charters. I do want to continue my fitness training until I reach and accomplish my goals and become more better focused on what I'm training for in the future. And I'm not going to let my learning disability get in the way. I'm still pushing my limits to become a better human being.
