Growing up as a kid I was very athletic and into sports.
I played baseball, soccer, and basketball. Sports were my life.
But around Freshman year, I quit all sports and became a gamer..
That is when the weight started piling on..
Sophomore year, my girlfriend of two years broke up with me and I was devastated.
I was convinced it was because of my weight and body.. and started running 4 miles a day on the treadmill, determined to lose weight.
When I started running I was 6'0 and 200 lbs. With around 30-45% body fat.
After I was accustomed to running this much, I started to develop a love for it. And my Junior year I joined my High school's cross country team.
My first season (Junior Year) was my break in season.. I was JV and struggled to keep up.
But my senior year I was varsity, and posting great times.
After my final season ended I weighed in at 130lbs and 10% body fat. A total loss of 70lbs and 20-35% body fat loss.
I had accomplished my goal to lose weight, but running ten miles a day at practice transformed me into Skin and Bones.
After my final season ended, I wanted to stay active and fit, but was fed up with all the running.
It was then my friend Chayse asked if I wanted to start going to the gym with him..
Beforehand, I thought lifting weights was a waste of time. Why would somebody go through so much pain and think it was fun?
I soon discovered why.
The first week of lifting weights was hard and I did not enjoy it much..
But soon I was showing up bright and early every morning to do it again..
Today I am 6'3 with 7% Body fat and 178 lbs.
I have since been to the same gym Chayse took me to my first day another 250+ times.
I did not realize before my love for bodybuilding and fitness, but now I am glad I have.
I am now 19 and a student at NASM to become a certified personal trainer.
