I was sitting at home one day as a little kid about 7 or 8 and the movie "Pumping Iron" came on and I was mesmerized by the things a human body can do. So I picked up my first set of weights at 11. Up until that point I use to watch "Slim Good Body" and Jack Lalanne on TV and Richard Simmons. I did what they did.
I look at it as an ongoing challenge. I have been yo-yoing for 13yrs. and my health can be better. I have high blood pressure, proteinuria, asthma, PTSD, which stemmed from being in a long term battered relationship and the effects of having trauma to the head. Dense blood vessels, brain lesions, and a tumor (benign) that is on my brain stem, not to mention a flat pituitary gland. (By God's grace still functioning like it's suppose to.) I've had broken ribs, fractured occipital bone, torn MCL, broken foot. Then after getting in shape I had a set back from over-doing it. I ruptured my Achilles, torn rotator cup in the right shoulder and an impingement in the left. So I have been fighting to get back in shape and stay that way and fight off some of these monsters. I just need to be pushed just like everyone always looks for me to motivate them, I need someone somehow, someway, to push me to the next level so that I will remain diligent and push forward even more. Plus I'm trying to be around for as long as I can for my 5 children and current 7 grand baby girls.......
