I love horseback riding and downhill skiing. I've taken fitness classes in resistance training, aerobics, pilates, yoga, tai chi, krav maga, kickboxing, and boxing. I started weight training in 2014 and fell in love with it, but it took a bit of a toll on my body, and I've had to take a different path. So now I enjoy a mix of calisthenics, weight lifting and yoga.
I like looking and feeling fit and testing my body's limits. I enjoy being around people with the same ideals. It challenges me, it energizes me, it strengthens me outwardly and inwardly, and it gives me confidence.
Keeping healthy via exercise and eating clean has really helped my acid reflux tremendously too. (So have digestive enzymes, aloe vera juice, and Live Soda Kombucha drinks). Prior to it, I was not eating enough and not exercising to maintain my thin physique but the reflux was unforgiving because my stomach acids were working on very little food.
Another reason why I workout and try my best to eat healthy is for the Lord. His Living Word, the Bible, directs Christians to honor our bodies because they are a temple of the Holy Spirit living in us. I believe keeping fit and eating healthy is part of the equation of honoring thy body, and being healthy allows me to better serve others.
