I thoroughly enjoy working out. I have let busy times get the best of me. I left my 9 year military career in November 2014 to become a stay at home mom, to my four children. They are currently 10,9,2,and 1. I started my BBA in December of 2014 (and also had our fourth baby that month). Throughout 2015 I hit many obstacles, to include becoming very down on myself, because I could not find time to work out. I was working out at 1 or 2 in the morning at times in my garage, because it was the only free time I had literally.
I broke my arm, so I had to put my weight training program on hold, and ended up not able to finish it. I felt too heavy to run outside without it hurting my hips. I am not a complainer, and am tough physically, but I think between all the responsibilities, and my world changing drastically last year; it was too much to find time for me.
I am happy to be back on track again, and this time my family is on board! I ended up getting down to 178 last year (from 209). I am devastated to say that I have gained 16 of that back.
Work outs are my alone time, my me time. Running is my stress outlet (you don't run a household of 6 people stress free). Without one or both of those I am a whole different person that I didn't know was in me. If I went to the doctor with all of this, they could say I am depressed, but I have been down that road before after my second child; and the best medicine is dumbbells and asphault.
I look forward to using this as a tracker, to inspire others, and to be inspired by others.
I have registered myself for the Labrada Lean Body Challenge, just to help keep me on track initially; until this becomes habit again:)
Being healthy and fit makes me feel good inside and out. I have four children, whom are mine, they are my world, and they are watching me; I have to be my best. I do it for me and for them, and for my husband. There is no better feeling than the feeling after a heavy lifting session or a sweaty cardio session!!! If there is...enlighten me:)
We only have one body, and it is up to us to care for it.
