How I started? Slowly. It was a fight to build momentum but a fight I am determined to win. As I go along, I have added a tool here and there to assist me in meeting a strength goal or a nutrition goal. It takes me a while to incorporate each one but over time, I see their benefit.
It's my own time and space. Everything else goes away. It's just me and the lift. Iâve met some cool people along the way that share advice, encouragement or pick a barbell off my chest (That happened. Not the proudest moment but dammit, I'll own it. It's all good.) Now Iâm at a point where the gains are starting to show and people are asking what Iâm doing and checking on how Iâm doing. Some friends are starting to go back to the gym themselves. If me getting serious and busting my ass, gets a few of my friends to bust their asses so we can hang out on this planet for a few more decades, then itâs worth 6 hours a week.
