I have been working out since I was a kid! I was a competitive swimmer and athlete throughout my schooling years, reaching State and National levels in swimming and athletics. As an adult, I have been a pretty regular gym user- however after getting back into Masters swimming in 200; I realised I had to do more. I decided to train harder and more consistently.
I achieved what I wanted to from my adventure back into the competitive swimming arena, including the result of individual gold and silver medals at the 2009 Masters Games held in Sydney, Australia including 2 gold; 3 silver and 2 4th places. In 2010; I competed at the Pan Pacific Games on the Gold Coast, QLD bringing home 5 individual gold and 1 silver.I also competed very well at State and National levels bringing home many gold and silver medals.
In 2012 I decided to have a break from swimming and have now started pursuing Physique competitions after my interest in weights just grew and grew. It is my favorite thing do do now in the gym.
Gone are the days of endless treadmill running. I feel weights for females is underrated; but it is so effective at body sculpting and building the strength I always wanted. I am so pleased I was introduced to this way of training!
