it all started at a summer camp where i noticed all the muscular guys seemed to always get more praise, they didn't need to approach someone they would be approached. so i started to do 20 push-ups a day once i got home, i gave up on this in under a week. but when school started up my buddy asked me to go workout with him so i agreed, after only a week i noticed gains and i was hooked
bodybuilding has given me a goal, a bigger meaning to life than just go to school, get a job, raise a family and eventually die. it shows that with hard work you can accomplish something spectacular! you never hear someone say "man that muscular guy must have talent for being able to grow" because talent isn't a factor in building muscle! it's all hard work and commitment, you could not be talented enough to play varsity soccer, paint realistic faces, or aim straight in a video game. but you don't need talent to move a barbell up and down, all you need is hard work and commitment which will eventually pay off, giving you a body that looks as though it was carved out of marble. i love body building because it is much more than a sport, it is an art. you have many tools from rubber bands to treadmills to use. you control what tool you use to chip away at the bad parts of your body, you also get to choose what tool you use to build it up. i love body building because you get to decide how glorious your artwork is. it may take time but its worth it to get the chance to look back and just laugh at how far you have come.to get that feeling of accomplishment, to not need to make a new years resolution because you already achieved it.
