I have always been a health nut since I can remember. My family and friends all knew this about me. I stayed very active outdoors and playing baseball. My favorite shows as a kid; The Incrediable Hulk, Superman and The Bionic Man. Oh yeah, Buck Rodgers and Americas Greatest Hero. Several years later I was about 11yrs old in Jr High school and heard that doing push ups would help you throw a ball harder? I played baseball so this sounded like something I wanted to do. That weekend, while I watched Headbangers Ball, I started my push ups until I couldnt do another one. I discovered that after just a few minutes I could do more push ups. So I did push ups for hours looking for overnight success. To my surprise I woke up the next morning with what looked like Pop Eye arms and they hurt really bad. I thought I had really done something bad to my arms. Later that day at baseball practice, some teammates had noticed that my arms were pumped and couldnt believe it. It was crazy looking. I didnt let them get in the way of a good practice, I played through the pain. That Sunday a bodybuilding show was on the sports television station. These guys were all huge and the ladies were all fit. This was my environment and I knew it. I had found my place with fitness!
