I am, for the most part, your typical male. I started playing sports at 8 and continued through High School (occasionally reliving the glory days when talking with my sons). I continued to stay active when I joined the Air Force and also started lifting weights. I loved how my body changed and I learned a lot during those years. After leaving the service though, is when the pitfall started. Basically, I kept (and still do at times) eating like I was that highly active HS kid/airman. Add that with certain personal and medical problems, and you have years of roller coasting weight and inconsistent working out. No longer, I am determined to change my body, mind, and spirit, as I get stronger, healthier, and wiser physically and mentally.
As I get older, the daily stressors of life steadily increase. Family, work, environment, etc. are just a few things that can cause our lives to get (or seem) chaotic. At the end of the day...I want to make sure that I'm at peak health. Not just for myself (although highly important), but for the ones who love and depend on me daily. Furthermore, I coach Football and Track and I want to be a model of example of good health (something that seems kinda contradicting when you have a belly over your belt buckle). Through working out and proper diet, I want to prolong my life (God willing) for as long as possible, be here for my family, and motivate others.
