In December 2010, I decided to go on another cruise. When I sat down I saw it⦠photos of myself on the beach. Now, Iâve never been an overweight guy, but Iâve never been fit and in-shape. Iâve always made a promise to myself I would not become âone of those guys that let them self go when they get olderâ. I ended up scheduling my cruise for the end of February. With the photos of myself on the beach still haunting me I knew I had to do something and remembered a while ago I had purchased P90X. I would sporadically pop in a few videos but never stuck with it. Either I got hurt, sick or just plain out lazy and I never followed through. I decided I was going to give P90X a try again and this time it would be different. The first month was ugly and I had never been so sore in my life. Every muscle in my body, even muscles I never knew existed, hurt! Every time I got home from work it was a struggle to get myself downstairs. I always had an excuse to delay the inevitable but I made myself get up and just do it. By the time for the cruise came around I was two months into the P90X program. I left for my cruise feeling in âbetterâ shape than ever. After I returned home, I popped in my P90X Dvds and went right back to where I left off! I made it through the entire 90 days of the program but Iâll admit I did not do it 100%. I skipped a video here and there, but after the first 90 days I really noticed a difference and I started liking what I was seeing, so I decided to repeat the program a second time. This time I vowed to do it 100% all the way. I started it all over again and couldnât wait till I got home to work out. Working out became an obsession for me. My mindset totally changed.
Now i've been through P90X routine and the X doubles routine. I moved on to the X2, and still loving working out. I'm down to 150lbs, and 8% body fat and loving it. At this point its all about working out definition and maintaining what i have and looking for more.
