I have been athletic all my life and played sports until I graduated from college. After I graduated college and stopped playing sports, I missed the competition and the friendships with the girls on my team. I competed in Figure from 2010 until this year and then made the switch to CrossFit. I was tired of bodypart splits, focusing too much on weighing/measuring my food, and not feeling "normal."
Working out, eating healthy, and staying fit will be in my life forever. I currently workout at my local CrossFit gym 3 days a week and then practice Olympic lifting and kettlebell work for shoulder and hip mobility, and skill work (double-unders, ring dips, muscle ups, handstand pushups, etc) on non-CrossFit days. I love training - the workouts remind me of my old soccer practices. They're brutal and exhausting, yet leave me with a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. I've missed this feeling.
