I was sick and tired of being a skinny kid. I became obsessed with making gains and researching. My initial bulk in late 2007 was dirty, I went from 150 to 190, but didn't like the look I "achieved," so I cut back down to 160 and stayed there for quite some time. I was VERY cut from 2008-2010, but I didn't have any mass so I did even more research, got on a strict bodybuilder's diet and on Dec. 11, 2010 I began my new program. I call it "athletic bodybuilding." It's a perfect hybrid of traditional bodybuilding routines and new cross fit style workouts. It allowed me to gain, in a little over a year now, 45 lbs. I cut down to 155 just before the bulk and am currently 200 lbs.
Bodybuilding is a challenge like no other when it comes to athletics. You have to push yourself, and only yourself if you want to see results. I love the pump, but I also love the focus and drive I have because of bodybuilding. It gave me discipline, it made me dedicated and I love it more than anything in the world aside from my girlfriend.
