Growing up I was very active in sports. I played baseball, basketball, and football from a very young age through high school. Four years ago I got hooked on mountain biking and was having more fun riding than I ever did playing team sports. I started competing and having success until July 22, 2012 when I went over the bars in a Downhill Race and broke my C1,C3, and C7 vertebrae. I was stuck in a Halo(cervical stabilizing contraption) for over ten weeks, and a cervical collar for 3 weeks. During that time I couldn't lift over ten pounds and had to remain relatively inactive. Once I was cleared to workout I decided that I would focus more on building strength and fitness and put mountain bike racing on hold for a bit.
Why I Love it
You get out what you put in and you can train any time of the day, rain or shine
