I got started lifting weights when I was in the military due to a field training that had us at a post for the National Training Center. The Army post was small without much to do when you weren't out training in the field. The one thing they had was a gym, so there I went. I can tell you, I really didn't workout, but I got something much more from this small gym. I became inspired. This scrawny 20 year old 185 Lb 6" 2" Asian, me, was mesmerized by 100's of pictures of female bodybuilders adorning the top of the wall to wall mirrors. I had never really been exposed to women bodybuilders. So I was mesmerized by their athleticism, form and beauty, and at the same time very jealous. That was the day when weight lifting became a part of my life's routine.
I love working out because I believe that age is only a number, although if you don't use it, you lose it. I don't want to lose it. The gym is like a second home to me as well. I feel very comfortable in the gym and I like its atmosphere. Working out has always been part of my life, and it will be that way until I move on.
