I started regularly lifting in Jan. 2013, after years of being inactive. I'm a mother of three and got tired of feeling sluggish and being skinny-fat. Enough was enough and I finally decided to get off my lazy butt and do something about it. My goal is to build a nice muscular foundation and lose the excess fat. I'd eventually love to compete in bikini and then figure.

Sadly, my fitness goals have been set aside temporarily. I found out I was pregnant in April and have had the hardest time with sickness. I had hyperemesis gravidarum for the first 6 months, lost 12 lbs, plus had to be put on IV fluids and anti-nausea meds, which meant that I lost the little bit of hard-earned muscle (plus more) that I put on in those first few months that I started lifting.
It's so discouraging but I know that I have it in me to meet my goals, once the newborn allows, of course.
