My story...in short... I am a single mother of 3 beautiful kids... I work, go to school and love the gym plus being out in the wilderness taking photos and making climbs for my soul and life. I have gone through childbirth, abusive (verbally, mentally, and physically) marriage, divorce, surgeries, health issues and many other ups and downs physically, mentally and emotionally. I lost myself because of failed (all kinds) relationships, poor choices, many surgeries and just overall the Rollercoaster of LIFE....I was a size 12 almost 14, well over 210lbs...not able to jog, even walk actually and definitely poor health and nutrition choices...It took seeing finally who I had become and not even noticing the girl in the mirror and that realization that I wasn't investing in myself inside and out, and was not happy. I started making subtle changes, one with myself emotionally and psychologically. I had to love myself and start taking care of me in all ways...no in between. That was essential. I did change my diet and added cardio, but it wasn't enough. I would plateau. I had, for me, to make extreme...very extreme changes to be who and where I am today: a size 4-6, lost over 75lbs, getting to a lean body mass, toned and gaining muscle and so, so very happy with ME. I have seen and learned ...yes everyone is different for what they can and will do. But it does start with the choice to change and do better for yourself... Perhaps, these things (from gym - weights and cardio, to eating right (I balance with a clean, fresh, raw balanced nutrition), and taking care of my body and mind post and pre workout and for daily life as a busy schedule awaits me) I do may help or encourage YOU but most of all it is a lifestyle I love. I am here to help me but also you too. Change is hard, but I embrace it and becoming a better, stronger, healthier mom, friend, student. ..well ME. I challenge myself everyday. I have still ups and downs, but I take each little step forward as a celebration. If I fail, I see it as progress and try again. I continue to learn and grow mentally and physically because I invest the time to do so, not just by workouts but in all I do. If something scares me, I know I'm going in the right direction and challenge accepted.
