In May of 2013, I wanted to start training in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and my husband worked nights. I needed someone to take kids to school and sports so I could train so I asked him to be a stay at home. He has experience in weight training and conditioning and he devised a workout plan and meal plan for me once he started staying at home with the kids. He is a brown belt in Judo and played select soccer so he has a lot of different conditioning exercises I used during my transformation.
I was always scared of lifting and getting big like Arnold so I used cardio and light weights and never succeeded. Once I added lean muscle, cardio and a clean diet the fat melted. I love the feeling of being physically spent and the stress it relieves. Being in better shape allows me to be very active with the family and helps me mentally at my current job. I love the challenge and I have set an example for my kids that anything is possible even being old like me.
