Through the years I have dabbled with different fitness activities --joined the gym, took up tae kwon do, golf, tennis -- but nothing seemed to survive the changing demands of my life. As each challenge came up, I kept putting fitness on the back-burner until I grew to see it as a nice to have luxury instead of a necessity, despite my ballooning weight and size.
I recently had a scare where I felt like I was going to pass out after climbing 20 steps. After that incident, I committed to making a permanent lifestyle change. I didn't want to go through another yo-yo diet or yo-yo fitness interest cycle. I trained for and completed my 1st Sprint triathlon 10/09 but didn't achieve the fat/weight loss goals I wanted. Now I am committed to take things to the next level.
I love the energy, confidence boost, positive mental outlook, and the "I can do anything" feeling, that working out gives me. I am looking forward to achieving the fitness look that matches my new attitude.
