I played hockey growing up and through college. I also competed in power lifting years ago.I took nearly 8 years off and gained a lot of weight. In Feb.07 I weighed 206lbs and couldn't tie my own shoes without breaking a sweat! I decided then it was time to get back in shape.
I won my IFPA Masters & Open Pro Cards in 2010 & 2011. I competed as an IFPA Pro in St. Louis at the Pro Masters Cup in 2011. This was an awesome experience, but after this I needed to take some time off from competing and focus on family and my career.
In May of 2013 I donated 60% of my liver to my Dad who had bile duct cancer. This was followed by four incisional hernia surgeries and the last in Aug. of 2017 required a permanent mesh implant. My road back to the stage will be a very long and difficult challenge, but I and determined to get there again!
