Background

When I Started: Aug 2006
HOW I STARTED:

I was tired of feeling insecure about my body and I wanted to do something permanent to change my way of living. I have recently had a baby and need to get the extra weight off and then some.

WHY I LOVE IT:

Working out makes me feel empowered. I love feeling my muscles work and seeing amazing results. I actually like having discipline in my life and working out and eating healthy is just that.

Motivation!!!

I haven't lost any weight but feel my thighs tightening up a little. I know where my weakness lies....consistancy. I'm consistant with running 4 days a week but getting to the gym is a challenge for me because of my little one....why am I making excuses, no more excuses!! I will be consistant, 3 days a week at the gym!!!

Soul food, yummy but fattening!

I have been doing so well with my eating habits until today when I endulged in a little MLK celebration at my work. I tried to make up for it by eating a lite salad with tuna for dinner and taking a good run. We'll see.

My muscles are twitching....

What a good workout!! I have done very well this whole week with my high protein diet, eating 6 small meals a day and not cheating...woohoo! I feel great and I hope I lost some weight!!

dianna2136 Hey, I was in the same boat as you. I did Team In Training for a marathon (6months after I had my baby). It's been hard, but you can do it. I also gained 50lbs while preggers. Keep up the good job! (It's a tough one, but you gotta do it) Mar 17, 2009 7:32am
