When I Started:
Aug, 2006
How I Started:
I was tired of feeling insecure about my body and I wanted to do something permanent to change my way of living. I have recently had a baby and need to get the extra weight off and then some.
Why I Love It:
Working out makes me feel empowered. I love feeling my muscles work and seeing amazing results. I actually like having discipline in my life and working out and eating healthy is just that.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading about fitness and nutrition helps me stay motivated. My husband also helps me stay motivated by his constant attention to health research and consistant workouts, he also helps watch the baby while I go to the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
My accomplishments have to do with running. I have discipline when I put my mind to it as I've completed a marathon after training for four months. I want that again.
My goal is to lose at least 48 lbs of fat and gain muscle and train for my second marathon.
Goal (Long):
I had been the fat teenager with the great personality and pretty face. I was tired of it and over a year lost 55 lbs and gained so much confidence. I kept it off, give or take 10 lbs until two years ago when I unexpectedly lost 15 bls which jump started my health kick. I then trained four months for the Los Angeles Marathon, which was an amazing accomplishment; having never been athletice before this was a major confidence builder that showed me I could accomplish whatever I put my mind to. Last August I had a baby and gained 50 lbs. I have lost 22 lbs so far but still have 28 lbs more to lose to reach my pre-pregnancy weight. I want to lose an additional 20 lbs. In doing so I will gain more muscle and drop down to a single digit size pants. I will also train for my second marathon and beat my time by at least one hour. I think 8 months is a good amount of time to accomplish the weight loss. I'm in the process of changing my nutrition and establishing a workout routine. I do cardio 5 days a week-(30 minutes)and plan on increasing the intensity as time goes on. I lift weights 3 days a week and take suppliments to help accomplish my goal. I find it difficult to keep this routine with a 5 month old baby and full time job, but my husband helps me out with the baby and in motivation. I will succeed.

I haven't lost any weight but feel my thighs tightening up a little. I know where my weakness lies....consistancy. I'm consistant with running 4 days a week but getting to the gym is a challenge for me because of my little one....why am I making excuses, no more excuses!! I will be consistant,...
Hooray for Marathon running. Hopefully not too superficial, but you are quite a beauty. Reaching your goal I can only imagine such a drop dead gorgeous hottie !
Hey girl! It looks like you are making some great progress!! keep it up!
How's your running? I had a co-worker show me the website of halhigdon.com. This guy has some awesome marathon training programs and running stuff. Check it out if you get a chace and keep up the hard work!!!! :)
Hey, I was in the same boat as you. I did Team In Training for a marathon (6months after I had my baby). It's been hard, but you can do it. I also gained 50lbs while preggers. Keep up the good job! (It's a tough one, but you gotta do it)
My running right now is included in Fitness Boot Camps. Though someone last week gave me a free membership to one of the running groups at See Jane Run. I really want to try it out!
Hey Trisha ~ Yup I been there every day!!I am seeing changes now with the tape measure and on the scale so I am really motivated to keep going. How about you? How are you coming along?!?
