Goal (Overall):
I want to drop 35lbs for a triathlon i'm doing at the end of the summer 07'.
Goal (Long):
I decided in January that I would actually try to train and complete an olympic distance triathlon this August. More recently I've been doing heavy strength training and put on a decent amount of size and strength. I've never been cut in my life and am using this triathlon training to reduce my %BF. I aim to maintain my current lean body mass (maybe increase it a little), while loosing most of the excess. I figured my ideal lean weight is somewhere around 195lbs. My starting weight when signing up for the triathlon was near 230lbs. However my %BF was close to 19%. I am not set on a particular weight to achieve. I figure I may loose or gain some muscle mass depending on the type of periodzation I use. I have already dropped 15lbs by changing my lifting from strength to circuit and increasing my cardio from 2day/week to 5days/week. I am hoping by announcing my goals I will be more apt to see them through.
