What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Gary Strydom. He's been one of the classic physiques for years, and I have always been a big fan.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Know what you want, and don't be afraid to fall down trying to get there. We all have our own path that we must take, and blazing your own trail is half the fun!

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
Of course. Perhaps not in full detail, as I don't want to bore them. Friends and family are the most important people in reciprocating encouragement and helping me stay on track.
Today, I've hit a new personal low. Bodyweight, that is. After weeks of staggering through my routine, I think I've finally found a solution that really works for me. Pure cardio. Well, at least 80%, b/c I don't wanna loose any valuable muscle tissues that will potentially burn off...
Thats a great attitude to have! You can do it man, you have my total support as well as many other great folks here on bodyspace. The sky is the limit, keep invisioning where you want your health and your body to be and also how awesome you'll feel ounce you get there! Keep it up friend!
Great blog today Alan. I touched on similar theme(s) today & yesterday too. As you continue dropping weight, I'd begin upping the weight training & dialing back on cardio. I think most folks err on the side of overdoing cardio (I've been plenty guilty), & neglecting sufficient resistance training. BTW: Cool BB name. I'm a proud Pop too (cutest girls on the planet!!). :-)
Hey man, thanks for the add and congrats on your progress! GL with your future success and idk if you are into quotes but I find em pretty inspirational.
The body goes where the mind takes it.

Thanks, If someone finds inspiration from me and my journey then perhaps it is a small repayment for all of the people who've inspired me to keep moving forward. I hope you are motivated and that some how that passes on to some one else in turn. That is what bb.com is all about (to me anyway)

I can’t get down on you for it. I’m painting the inside of my house this week. I have had fast food three nights this week. ….who know I would miss my veggies so much
My wife and I know where you are coming from & know that you can make your fitness dreams come true, probably sooner than you think. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) went from size 12/14 to 4/6 and I lost over 50 lb’s and went from 36% bodyfat to 10% by following the 12 week Body for Life program. Push yourself, possibly out of your comfort zone and you will get where you want to be and the results will be well worth the effort. Give either of us a yell if you wish.
