Overall Goal: To shift my primary focus and hard work to bodybuilding once my days playing competitive hockey are done. When I feel confident enough in myself I would like to compete in my very first show.
Fit Status:
Trying to gain muscle while also getting cut for summer
I started working out as part of my hockey training in order to become a better player. Gradually I got into training and eating healthy more and more, and now I've adopted it as my lifestyle. I cannot wait to see how much I can personally achieve in the world of fitness and bodybuilding.
Why I Love It:
It defines me now. It sets me apart from other people. Everyone knows me as the healthy fitness freak and I love it. It eliminates stress. It feels good to become stronger on the ice. I love it when I get compliments, that always makes me feel like I'm progressing even when I personally don't see it. Working out and staying active also does wonders for my confidence, which leads to being happier and enjoying every day a little bit more.
How I Stay Motivated:
My 16 year old driver's license says 5'6, 119 LBS. I've always had a small/skinny build and have looked years younger than my actual age. When I was a freshman in high school, the seniors in my art class used to literally pick me up and pass me around. They called me "little Benny". As you would imagine it was very embarrassing. Everyday I acquire new knowledge from the internet and magazines that I cannot wait to put to the test. Looking in the mirror everyday and knowing there's room for improvement is motivation enough to keep pushing and never stay satisfied.
BB Accomplishments:
Gaining 10 pounds of muscle over summer 2008.
more soon I hope!

My last day of high school senior year in 2006 before I got into training seriously. Didn't really have much knowledge about weightlifting or nutrition. 18 yrs. old.
Finally at 170 LBS. +11 gain since I've been home from school for the summer, and not much if any of the added weight seems to be body fat
To shift my primary focus and hard work to bodybuilding once my days playing competitive hockey are done. When I feel confident enough in myself I would like to compete in my very first show.
Goal (Long):
I would like to weight upwards of 190+ LBS. of hard earned solid muscle. I want to help others including friends & family get started into working out so that they experience the joy that it has brought me. One day I would like to compete in bodybuilding up on stage, when I feel confident enough with myself. I think it would be awesome to see myself if one of the magazines or in a modeling ad. Above all, I want all of my achievements to be accomplished naturally. I have chosen a straight edge lifestyle in which I control my future as much as I possibly can. I choose not to smoke, drink, or do drugs of any kind. One life to live_xxx
Nick has made excellent accomplishments achieved naturally through hard work and dedication. I, like Nick, have also chosen a straight edge lifestyle and feel he is a great role model for other drug free athletes.
Adam is my training partner and has been a close friend of mine since we were little kids. We got into bodybuilding at the same time and share many of the same aspirations. He inspires me to do what I love to do and keep improving.

Well, just got done with my sixth straight day of intense training for hockey tryouts. We skated for 2 and a half hours this morning while 95% of the other college students here were probably asleep, hungover, etc. from a friday night out. Yesterday I made it through first cuts onto to a list...
An interesting question. When I was 139 I said that I just wanted to get to 150 and that would be enough. Then when I was 150 I said, well why not try for 155? Now that I'm approaching 160..... LOL. I'll take any info you've got. Appreciate it.
Summer workouts have been amazing. Now that there's less to worry about with school being out, I can focus more on lifting. I could do with a little less heat, but I can't do anything about it. AC's not working, so cut-off and shorts it is! Haha.
PS. My cousin's about to hang up the gloves, too. Says it's time to get to college and what-not. Keep in touch, man.
I was also in a death metal band about 5 years back(Gutrot). I couldn't do construction work, bodybuilding, band practice, and sleep all at the same time so I had to give up one of them.
Nice man I used to play AA until I was 18 then quit playin miss it though. Saw that sick vid of the Minnesota training room you goin to school for some kinda exercise degree?
