Growing up, my father lifted and got me into weightlifting at a fairly young age. As a wee lad, I remember seeing him benching 350+lbs for reps and moving massive amounts of weight around like nothing, so I guess that was the spark that ignited the fire inside me.
Why I Love It:
The feeling of acomplishment and satisfaction you get when you reach your goals as well as the physiological, and social benifits of working out and being in shape.
How I Stay Motivated:
By reading The Arnold Schwarzenegger Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. Desire, Dedication and Discipline.
BB Accomplishments:
My freshman year of highschool I was a 140lb weakling with Spaghetti arms and chicken legs. I couldnt beat my way out a wet paper bag with scissors in my hands. I always wanted to be strong like my dad,(and Arnold) but I was a natural runt so to speak. I started lifting weights at my house with my dad and by my Junior year I was one of the strongest people in the whole school even at 165lbs. After I got a gym membership and the Arnold Schwarzenegger Encyclopedia it was on like Donkey Kong and there is no turning back now.
