I was always an athlete. playing sports in school or playing football in the street with the guys. I started going to the gym when I was about 16. I became a trainer at 18 with ACE. I worked at a few facilities as a trainer for about 4 years. A few of the trainers I worked with thought it would be fun to actually compete against each other. so we started putting our goals together. we showed our clients that we could actually reach them. we set the gym up as a competition and our bosses were the judges. out of almost 40 trainers I came in 12, and it felt good...it was the hardest thing I ever did...21 yrs old 122 lbs at 9% body fat, my goal was to build my upper body and tone up loose body fat. I did and it felt great. Now I'm trying to get back to where I was then...its harder than I thought...
Why I Love It:
I love it because you feel great sore and sweaty after a work out, knowing your getting closer to where you want to be, self esteem booster.you just feel good
How I Stay Motivated:
well right now I'm just starting out and its a lot harder than I thought. I'm always working and I get lazy. but since I've started I take my lazy ass to the gym at least 4 times a week..so far so good

before the holidays...lazy
after the holidays with 4 days a week in the gym and a decent diet
How are you? hope everything going great! I'm going back to the GYM, trying to gain 20lbs of muscle before i go to the Desert in October. be good and take care!
yes, I can relate to feeling a bit lazy at times, sometimes it's really hard to get out and put the effort in, especially when were all so busy! umm, I've been going pretty crazy with the training, since you asked I could probably guess about 12x workouts a week, and probably about 18-20 hours, maybe, hard to keep track, I'm kinda addicted I guess.
yeah, I bet it was rough. But now that you've healed, and hopefully kept your workout regime going, have people asked you if you want to do something like that again. (Sometimes I get mad at people when they ask me this because it takes awhile before you realize that you do want to do it again!) Anyways, what's you favorite thing to do when training?
Wow, gratz on the Century ride! Those are amazingly difficult and I have not ever done one that early in the year! And the fire dept interview, sounds pretty cool.
