Overall Goal: BANG...that's the sound of my scale hitting the bottom of the garbage can. NEW GOAL, to get leaner, more flexible, stronger and maybe put on a pair of 32 jeans!
Fit Status:
Gearing up to start this Holiday week off right! Might have to shoot for a higher burn to combat the extra carbs!
When I met my now best friend Greg. He was dedicated to fitness and bodybuilding and he inspired me to take a long look at myself and I didn't like what I saw.
Why I Love It:
I love the stress relief of the pump. I love the friendly faces I see at my gym and the great people you meet.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have always been heavy even as a child. I got in the best shape of my life shortly after high school and let it all slip away when I transfered away from home for college. So once I started to get back into shape, I remembered how much I loved the feeling. I kinda motivated by addiction. Is that crazy? Wierd?
BB Accomplishments:
Loosing 65 Lbs and being asked by two trainers and competitors at my gym to participate in a local show sponsered by my gym, Body Exchange Fitness.

This is from 2005 when my good friends wedding in Vegas. It's hard to remember looking that way, but it was the truth. I'm not sure how much I weighed, but it was greater than 270.
BANG...that's the sound of my scale hitting the bottom of the garbage can. NEW GOAL, to get leaner, more flexible, stronger and maybe put on a pair of 32 jeans!
Goal (Long):
I would like to tighten up, slim down and reduce my body fat from it's current 23% down to around 10% and participate in a local show on June 20, 2009. I don't have intentions of being a consistent competitor, but I would like to participate in this one show. I would like to walk on stage and showcase my hard work and take pride in what I've accomplished thus far and what I have planned for the near future.
BMI has traveled the road I'm on. He has shown me that no matter how long it takes or how much work it takes, I can get there. We started with similar weights and bf so I am trying to follow his lead. The meaning of inspiration to me is giving you the optimism to look towards tomorrow and the will to do what it takes to get there. Thanks B
I went back home to St Louis, Mo last week for some much needed R&R. I took my resistance bands and had half-ass intentions to get something done, but honestly I didn't want to! I wanted to be a lazy slob, drink, eat and be unhealthily happy....and I did. I had french fries a couple of...
Things are going well after a 2 week mess-up. Feeling very committed; was at the gym 2x yesterday - a workout in the a.m., and swimming lessons in the afternoon.
Nervous about that Thanksgiving meal? I don't blame you man. Try drinking a LOT of water that day. Also try eating your meal extra slow, so that way you don't overfill before your body gets a chance to tell you "I'm full". Thanksgiving meal is a weakness for me, and I'm actually a little thankful that I'm deployed right now and won't be able to indulge. Enjoy brotha!
I really like your legs too ;) It's nice to find things you like- lately I've been liking my shoulders/arm coz they've been looking good since I started lifting heavy..... still working on the abs though
After speaking to the trainers there, they are confident that my bodyfat will decrease significantly. They told me the scale may not decrease much, but I've decided to stop caring about that. After all-it's all about dress sizes and inches decreasing!
Man, you aren't lying! My training partner calls weighted step-ups, "The Evil Jane Fonda" exercise. They look oh-so easy and when you're done, you're gasping for air with your glutes on fire.
Weightes step-ups are KILLER!!! I'm already in love with crossfit (had two little tastes so far). It's so me- intense yet fun :) I also love the variety. I know that it's going to give my body the shock it needs-look out :)
WOO Hoo! I LOVE leg day!!! I'm starting crossfit next week! Have you heard of it? If not, check out www.crossfit.com- it's pretty hardcore, but then again...so am I! I hope you're well :)))
