When I Started:
How I Started:
I've been into sports my entire life and in high school I played volleyball, basketball and track. I was super skinny throughout high school (I weighed about 120 pounds at 5'11) and I never really did any serious weight training until college. I ended up playing D-I volleyball in college and weight training was a crucial part of the program. I loved the weight training and found myself making great gains becoming bigger, stronger, and faster. Although I loved the weight training aspect of collegiate volleyball by the time I graduated I found myself burned out from all the practices, traveling, and pressure. After I graduated I took a break from athletics, initially I made a half hearted attempt to continue working out but lacking motivation I eventually stopped working out as well. After 2 years I found myself weak, skinny, and unsatisfied with my body and my fitness level. I couldn't even run a mile without getting tired and winded...I decided it was time for a change. I began working out with a classmate who was an ex-personal trainer. He introduced me to crossfit and I loved it, I rediscovered my passion for fitness and working out.
Why I Love It:
I love being healthy, feeling strong, and looking good.
On Saturday I headed down to Crossfit Charlotte for an olympic lifting seminar hosted by Glenn Pendlay. The seminar was great and I learned some really useful tips for the snatch and clean and jerk. We started work with empty...
You look great! I would like to see a photo of you before xfit if you have one. I am anxious for changes in my body. What is your diet? I just began xfitting about a month ago. tks for sharing.
