Weak point will be vanished soon when you start loving it! 245 was about the same point when I was your age, do not neglect your legs anymore if you want to be stronger! I am heading to gym so I will hit you up later!
Some of people I know told me I should do those competitions, but I am not into competitions to see who's the best. It's the personal accomplishment, at least in my opinion. It does not mean I'm against it. You should read in my blog because I do not believe in genetics, lol. Most of my friends are powerlifters so I learned a lot from them. How far are you with your squats?
When I reached my goal of squatting over 700 pounds. I was working with leg presses and lunges two or three times a week for 10-13 weeks, then off two weeks, then work with squats, going from light (by yourself) to heavy (smith machine). After 5-8 weeks, you can or should see major improvements! Squatting was my obsession even though I don't get size on it since I cycle as well, too.
You're welcome man. Yes, my stats are real before I hurt my both shoulders again. That's why I'm staying away from lifting for a little while and take up swimming to make full recovery. If you need any help, I'll be happy to help you!
For adding size and wt, (not leanness) consume carbs before and after your workout. For leanness, seriously reduce your carb intake. It’s hard to do both at the same time. That’s why some people call it “on season and off season”. good luck
