I just couldn't take looking at pictures I take. I used to be really fit. infact I use to box. I just want to be in shape like I use to be. I use to run for fun. the world seemed so big... lately it seemed like it was no bigger the 50 inches (the TV).
Why I Love It:
because I know its good for me. there is nothing else, with working out you know you earning something no one can take away... your body... its not like a job where you can get laid off. or a game were you can lose your points or a trophy. your body is your trophy, and everyone can see it... I want a trophy body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Good friends and Family... and knowing what I have the potential to be.
BB Accomplishments:
The weight I lose and the confidence I gain.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
keep a picture in your mind of what you want. make sure your friends know.. regarless if they make fun of you or not, besides its fun to have someone around to prove wrong... but for the most part having a support system filled with family and friends is awesome. keep a picture in your mind of what you want. make sure your friends know.. regarless if they make fun of you or not, besides its fun to have someone around to prove wrong... but for the most part hav...more

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
I believe if that if you tell people, They will help you stay in check. When you have a bad week, and feel down... your family and Friends will know why, instead of letting them wonder. they would also know what things to say. instead of assuming, and assuming sometimes gets annoying. Congrats on the progress, that's awesome! LOL, your comment was SO funny - I have to laugh about the one class with all the reading - I so empathize with you
It has been a long time it feels like, I agree. Glad to hear it is going well for you. I got sick a couple of weeks ago, but am on antibiotics and am feeling better. Training otherwise has been good except for that, and school is going very well this semester - I am really enjoying all my classes :)
Man, you can't beat that for motivation! I love it. I does help that you two can support each other. With that kind of deal you know she won't be serving donuts for dinner and you won't be bringing her snacks of Cheetoes and coke!! I am so looking forward to hearing about you progress!!I want you to have that new truck AND a trip too!!
Hey there! I sure hope your knee is getting better. It can be really challenging to try and work around an injury. I saw that your motivation level is very low. Mine's high...how about I give you one of my bars? LOL!
I'm no fool...How did you injure your knee? You can always focus on other exercise that deal with your upper body so you don't have to put a strain on your knee...or is it that bad that you can't do anything??? Hope you get good news
I was thinking the same thing. We can try to motivate each other. For me Monday is the accountability and reflection day. Do you have such a day, because if you don't you should chose a period in which you regularly weigh yourself and reflect on what you did right and wrong.
Hey man! Me and you have quite similar stats, you know. Similar height, weight and age. It's good to know someone like that. I wish you success in achieving your goals!
That's awesome about the muscle gains!!! Keep it up bro!!! I got faith in ya! I'm doin' purdy good man. I'm on a 30 gym-a-thon. 30 days, no breaks, no excuses. Maxed my bench today at 250 lbs. Finally got into the single digits on bodyfat%, but I'm still battling loose skin. It's hard, but come Dec 2009, I'm gonna be a beast!!! If you ever need anything, hit me up! T.L.A.F.M.!!!
