I wasn't happy with my body or myself. I suffered from severe depression, contemplating if each day was even worth it. And Im type 1 Diabetic, so i wanted to better my health. At my worst I was around 5 foot 4 and 190 pounds! So i decided to start trying to lose weight. After 6 months of on and off training i got down to 128. I was so happy, all of my problems were cured. And my diabetes was under great control. But I had no muscle! So I started researching and starting taking diet and training seriously.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling. I love seeing my body change week by week, getting bigger and stronger. It gives me something to strive for. Its a sport that not everyone can do, it takes a lot of dedication and discipline. its a sport where you stand alone. You have to fight through for yourself to succeed.
How I Stay Motivated:
MY GIRLFRIEND! This whole thing can be quite selfish. But she still stands by my side!
i want this more than anything. nothing will get in my way. motivation for me is waking up everyday just so i can go to the gym
My walls in my bedroom are plastered with cutouts of bodybuilders from magazines. So every night before bed I see them and the second i wake up i see them.

i will never go back to that. EVER!

Ok I have gotten a little lean before but im going all out this time. I am going to get completely shredded
Diet starts today at 173lbs. Bodyfat is probably around 13 - 15. Cardio starts lightly this week and gradually increasing length and intensity of sessions. And still...
oh and damn really 200 grams of carbs. lucky i would have to take like 20 iu's lol you will have to tell me how you do it? i've only had it since late 06 so im still learning
haha were taking about the same. i do 12 in the moring so it peaks at 8 pm 2 hours after my workout and 10 before bed. im taking in about 200 grams half which i take after my workout. novolog or regular i do 1 for 10. the good news about this diesase is you learn lots of discipline or your fuct,rountine, routine,routine. kinda survial of the fittest lol
haha ain't it the truth. If i take just 4 or 5 days off. my sugar goes up through the roof, then im having to take extra insulin. whats your insulin regimen like? I split the lantus up to a shot every 12 hours, plus sliding scale of reg. spliting that lantus shot up to twice a day really helps keep it under good control for me and it peaks when i eat my biggest meal =)
