I like to maximize the effects of protein synthesis, so I stick to splits that hit the muscle group twice a week.
Right now, I am currently doing a cutting version (less overall volume) of Coolcicada's Push/Pull/Legs split. Once I hit my desired weight, I will then start a permanent clean, slow, bulk, and try to maintain my lean mass.
